How to Save on the Electric Bill
Embrace a lifestyle revolving around "Time of Use"
Many Utility companies bill their clients on a "Time of Use" plan, wherein energy costs are charged higher rates during busier moments of the day, usually between 4pm-9pm. By shifting your major electricity use outside of these hours, you will be able to curb the higher electric bill costs. Examples of pushing electricity use outside of higher demand times would be to run your washer and dryer in the late evening, or shift your cooking earlier or later in the day, or running your heater or air conditioner only during early morning or late evening.

Taking cold showers means you won't need to run your water heater as much, saving you valuable energy costs.

Unplug all devices that are not in use as many are energy vampires.

Turn off monitors that are not in use. If you are going to run a YouTube video to help you get to sleep, setup a screen timer shutoff on your actual monitor itself to turn off shortly after you would fall asleep.

Turn off and unplug air purifiers when you're not going to be home.

Consider the device you use for a certain app. Do you need to stream a show on a large TV, or can you get by on your computer monitor or even just your phone?

Consider lowering the setting on your refrigerator to not run as cold. Just turning the knob down 1 setting can help save bring you consider savings over a year.
How to Save on the Water Bill
Shower Every Other Day
If you're working remotely, not leaving your home every day, and you're not exercising every day either, then you really don't need to shower every single day.

Keep your Showers under 5 minutes
Run a timer if you have to. Think about all of the wasted water that goes into people's 20+ minute showers. Don't pay for excess. The water isn't free, so treat it like a very valuable resource, which it is.

Cold Showers
Showering with cold water is just the ticket to motivate you to take the shortest possible shower that you can. Not only will you save electricity costs for not running hot water for 10+ minutes, you will also strengthen your tolerance for the cold which will prove itself useful time and again, no matter what climate you may live in.

Stop running the water while you brush your teeth or in between washing dishes.

Ditch the dishwasher altogether and just hand wash all of your dishes.
