Television
One of the cheapest ways to get free local TV channels is via an Antenna you can get via Amazon.

They cost upwards of $30, but you get local channels as long as you keep that antenna up and connected, so it's worth it over the long haul.

Here are some examples of what they look like on Amazon:

If you want a full suite of live TV channels like what traditional Cable TV has offered, I would recommend avoiding the traditional cable companies and going with either YouTube TV or Hulu Live TV.

YouTube TV is $83 a month which is steep, but the service works well, you can stream from 3 different screens at once, and it has unlimited DVR capabilities.

Hulu Live TV is $82 a month, but you can bundle in Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ with ads for just $1 more, making the price the same as YouTube TV. Hulu is going the route of offering more value than YouTube TV for the same price, but I have not tried the service to see if its fast, reliable, and easy to navigate or not. Your milage may vary.

Please let me know your experiences with both services.

Paid Streaming Apps

The only good deals on Streaming apps occur during Black Friday.
Max made historically offered 6 months of their ad-tier service for $3 a month for 6 months. The sheer amount of content on Max in combination with the $3 deal makes it worth the slog of ads one has to endure.

Hulu has historically offered $1 a month for an entire year, and they've offered adding in Showtime for an additional dollar a month for 12 months. That's just $2 a month for a ton of content. However, Hulu has a terrible amount of ads, but the service works in a pinch when a movie or show is not found on any other platform.

Peacock offers a full year of their ad-tier service for just $20 a year. Peacock does a great implementing ads, you just have to have 3 minutes of ads play (you can even mute the 3 minutes of ads and go to a different internet tab so you never have to watch an ad) and then you get the entire movie ad-free. Much respect to peacock to offer value and a less frustrating ad-experience.

Disney+ no longer has any deals. Disney has been offers bundles with Hulu as an attempt to get more money upfront from consumers, but please don't buy into their tactics.

Netflix has never offered sales for its services and they've cracked down on password sharing despite years of building consumer attaching for recommending one to share passwords! Netflix offers an $8 ad plan, but I still discourage anyway supporting this betrayal of a company.
