How to Start Saving Time, Money, and Energy
Here are my top 14 tips you can instantly implement to save yourself time, money, and energy.

1) Stop thinking about money
Don't focus on worthless pieces of paper, but instead focus on your loved ones and the people around you. Trying to save money and survive in this stressful world is a good avenue to pursue, but not at the cost of your joy and to the detriment of living your life.

Put the time in to make the changes to enhance your life and get those bills paid, but please put in more time to actively enjoy the precious few days we all have in this life. You can enjoy your life without having to think about money all the time.
Even though saving money and having a frugal mindset has been my mode of operation for so many years, I don't let that define nor control me either. You're here saving money, you're taking control of whatever you can to survive another day. Pat yourself on the back and enjoy the little things in life, especially the company of others. That's a greater investment overall than constantly thinking of further ways to save or make money.

2) Stop watching the news
You will save so much emotional energy and precious time not wasting your life covering depressing, deceitful, and altogether manipulated coverage of the world's problems. You have your own problems to worry about like saving money, and investing time watching worthless news anchors push the agenda of news networks isn't helping you achieve your goals!

3) Get Off Social Media (Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
Get rid of the slop, the drama, the politics, the arguments, and the general cesspool that is modern social media today.

The second you drop these sites and apps, the happier you will instantly feel.

Probably the only decent Social Media site is Reddit, and it should be used only for information and insight from users and nothing more.

Please drop Tik Tok like a bad habit!

4) Use the Brave Browser/App (or any free adblocker)

Brave is hands down the best internet browser right now as it comes with built-in ad-blocking for any ads on YouTube. That alone saves you $12 a month and hours of your sanity not dealing with harassing and insulting ads against your intelligence.

You can opt to have the dedicated search function in Brave be Google, so you never lose out on that functionality.

You can always use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox in addition to Brave for all of your internet activity. Simply using Brave alone for YouTube is still an excellent option to save you valuable time, money, and sanity.

If you feel any guilt for not giving a creator 10 cents, you are free to donate to them directly for not having to deal with Google's shameful ads.

If Google also tries to scare you about using ad-blocks, remember that even the FBI tells you to use ad-blockers to protect your own cybersecurity: https://techcrunch.com/2022/12/22/fbi-ad-blocker/

Are you going to follow a greedy corporation that has censored millions, or are you going to follow the government and their recommendations? That's why you should use Brave with a clear conscience and a lot of enjoyment when watching YouTube again!

5) Start visiting Food Pantries every week

Find your local food bank and start visiting there as soon as possible: https://www.feedingamerica.org/find-your-local-foodbank

Use the food there to supplement your regular grocery shopping.

6) Shop only at budget grocery stores and stop buying name brand items

Aldi, Walmart, Winco, Grocery Outlet, Trader Joe's, and the like should be the only places you are shopping for groceries!
You should not ever step foot inside a Whole Food's, Publix, or any other similar store!

7) Shave your head

Stop paying the $50 plus tip at the salon or barber. every month. You can save thousands shaving your head over the course of a few years. For women, it wouldn't be a bad idea to shave your head every few years and use a wig/hat in the meantime while your hear grows back.

8) Get a Water Filter Pitcher and stop drinking bottled water
A 24 pack of bottled water is now costing $4+ dollars. Instead, invest in a $20+ water filter pitcher like a Britta and enjoy drinking water that doesn't have a plastic taste to it any longer! Plus, you'll instantly start saving money on water the first month you get the water filter.

9) Begin Water Fasting once a week.

Once you have a source of clean water that isn't from plastic sources, use this water as part of a weekly fasting ritual. Not only will this improve your health and longevity, it will also help you lose weight and save the $20-$30 dollars on food you'd normally spend that day.

This is not medical advice. No, you are not going to die by going one day without food. In fact, you will strengthen yourself and build grit to withstand any trial that may prevent you from eating food for any duration of time.

10) End your overpriced Gym membership and do your workouts outside.
The world is your gym.
Ride your bicycle everywhere you can for errands and commuting.
Use school tracks for your cardio training.
Use pullup bars at parks and local schools for underhand chin-ups and overhand pullups. You can invest in a doorway pullup bar from Walmart or Target. If you can't do a pullup, practice doing negatives and use an exercise band to lessen the weight.
Do pushups and elevated pushups for the chest and some dips off a chair for the triceps.
Bulgarian split squats, lunges, bridges and squats for your legs.
Crunches, bicycles, planks, and leg raises (off a pullup bar) for your core.
Many apartments even have their own gyms, no matter how limited.
Use backpacks, duffel bags, and bags of rice full of books for cheap weights.
Use every resource out there to challenge your body.

11) Get your clothing at the Salvation Army Store, or at Target, Walmart, and Old Navy when on sale
Forget thrift stores like Goodwill that literally charge Big Box retail prices now. The Salvation Army Store actually allows you to haggle somewhat and get actual discounts on the sticker price.
The quality of the brands found at Target and Old Navy like Champion are actually very good compared to the overpriced Nike, Under Armor, and Adidas clothing.

12) Wear the same outfit every time you go out
Mark Zuckerberg and other billionaires (like the late Steve Jobs) simply their lives by just having one outfit to wear when going out. Think about the amount of time, energy, and planning you put into your attire when going out. Think about the time, money, and energy just to go shopping to find said clothing! Imagine having one less thing to worry about in your day to day grind! Many even consider wearing a suit anytime they leave the house as looking professional will change how people act around you. When in doubt, it always pays to look more dapper!

13) Use the GasBuddy app to shop around and find the cheapest gas in your area
Gasbuddy is the premier gas station finding app that makes finding the cheapest gas available very easy. Obviously, Costco will have the cheapest gas if you have a station in your area, but the lines may be awful at the time you need to get gas. This app will help you find the next best option without the lines!

14) Stop using Dating apps
To find a partner, you have to network. You need to know someone that knows someone that is single. This can be through a friend, relative, church Elder/Deacon, club, or even from a past job (not current job, please don't poop where you eat).

Please DO NOT go out on dates to overpriced restaurants or even to movie theaters buying expensive popcorn and drinks. If the person is not willing to date on the cheap or even for free, then they're not worth pursuing, period. The real gem is the person willing to sacrifice and not get an instant reward with free food & drink. That's a person that will last with you through hard times, and believe me, we are absolutely heading for harder times.

Use all of these techniques to help enhance your quality of life!
